Before you hike The Narrows in Zion👇
The best time to do this hike is summer and early fall. The reason is because water is warmest (but still cold!) and the water level drops these seasons.
You can buy equipment or easily rent it.
The price of the equipment I rented was $59 for boots, socks, wetsuit and a stick together.
Personal vehicles are prohibited from March to November in this area, that’s why you need to take a free shuttle at the Visitor Center to Zion Canyon line, you need a stop called the Temple of Sinawava — this is the last stop of the route.
Always check weather conditions and flash floods. Most people hike between 2-6 hours on the Narrows hike when starting at the bottom (~6 miles round trip).
I definitely recommend planning this hike, it’s so unique and I was happy to try it! It’s like nothing else.
