Cole wanted to propose right as the sun set, which meant every photo afterward was during blue hour. I don’t normally shoot that late, but I honestly love how these turned out.

To make sure she had absolutely no idea, Cole told Mallary they were just heading to the beach to watch the sunset. She arrived in sweatpants, completely caught off guard and I think that’s part of what makes these photos so special. Nothing was planned or overthought. Just the best day ever. 💍
