Last week, while I was visiting the Outer Banks, I posted online looking for a senior pup to photograph on the beach. That's how I met sweet Bo and his family for this special legacy session.
Bo is 14 years old and the sweetest boy. As his family shared stories, I learned about the puppy who became the baby of the family, the Olympic level ball catcher who would dive into the deep end of the pool for "just one more throw," and the chocolate loving troublemaker who made more than a few trips to the vet.
But what stood out most wasn't the stories themselves. It was the love behind them.
The way his family talks about Bo tells you everything you need to know. No matter what kind of day they're having, Bo loves them exactly the same. Looking into his eyes, you can still see the puppy he once was, even as the gray around his face tells the story of a life beautifully lived.
As the sun set at Jennette's Pier, I watched a family celebrate the dog who has been by their side through so many chapters of life. These legacy sessions are never just about photos. They're about preserving memories, honoring a bond, and remembering that every chapter deserves to be remembered.
Sweet Bo, thank you for letting me be a small part of your story. ๐
