Throwing it back to September 2025 and a busy branding session with St. Johnsbury Distillery!

How my photography style has evolved 📸🤍

When I first started, I was still figuring out my style, my camera + honestly… what I even wanted my sessions to look like.

So posed photos were my go-to. 😅 They felt comfortable, predictable + gave me something to fall back on. I’d capture a few candids here and there, but I was mostly focused on getting everyone looking at the camera.

My editing was also very warm. Lots of warmth, golden tones + that cozy feel.

As I grew and became more confident, I started incorporating more candid moments while still keeping that warm editing style I loved.

And now? I’m much more focused on storytelling.

I want the photos to feel like you. The connection, the movement, the little in-between moments and all the things that make your people yours.

My editing is still warm, but much more true-to-color. My sessions are more creative, connection-focused + intentionally less about perfect poses.

Looking back at where I started makes me really proud of how far I’ve come. I’m still evolving, but I finally feel like I’m creating work that feels like me🫶🏻📸

2 Years of Desiree Cote Photography🥹🫶🏻📸

Two years ago, I took a leap and started pursuing a dream that has brought so much more into my life than I ever could have imagined🤍

Over the past two years, I have had the opportunity to meet so many amazing people, document so many different moments, and capture memories that will hopefully be cherished for years to come. From families and couples to milestones, celebrations, and everything in between. Every session has been a part of this incredible journey.

Looking back, I can see just how much growth has happened. Not only in my photography, but in my education, confidence, and the relationships I have built along the way. I am constantly learning, growing, and finding new ways to tell your stories through my lens.

I am so incredibly thankful for every single person who has trusted me to capture their memories. And to every returning client who has come back to me time and time again, thank you. There truly are no words to express how much your continued support means to me💗

As I enter my third year of Desiree Cote Photography, one of my biggest goals is to continue growing this dream and work toward making photography a more full-time career. I cannot wait to see where this next year takes me!

A little update from behind the lens🤍

It’s hard to believe our sweet baby girl is already over 2.5 weeks old. We’re slowly finding our rhythm, learning as we go, and soaking up all the little moments of newborn life. This season has been such a beautiful mix of newborn bliss, sleepless nights, and navigating motherhood for the first time.

I’m so thankful to say that my recovery has been going really well, and each day I feel a little more like myself. I’ll be taking the full 6 weeks to rest, heal, and enjoy this precious time with my girl, with plans to return to photography around mid-September!

I have truly missed having my camera in my hands and am already looking forward to getting back out there and capturing your memories. 🍂📸 Fall sessions will be here before we know it, and availability will be limited!
