A proposal on top of the bluff in Devils Lake State Park!

Hunter & McKenzie were traveling to visit some State Parks in Wisconsin they'd never been to, along with going to a concert. Little did she know that he was planning the surprise!

At the end of their hike, Justin & I were ready to capture the proposal, & McKenzie couldn't believe it!

The day was so hot, I asked them if they wanted to run into the lake & they said HELL YEAH!

We put over TWO THOUSAND miles on our truck this last week!

Between Justin going to work & our sessions in Wisconsin Dells, Tofte Minnesota, Devils Lake & Door Countryx2.

It was a wildly happy week with very tired humans, but wow is my heart full! I am blown away that this is my job!

Two more weeks of ping ponging Wisconsin & I am stoked for every mile & minute of it all!!!!!

A romantic engagement session at Devils Lake - like a fever dream!

Ellen & Ryan brought all the calm vibes to their session & they simply killed their session! I was so giddy behind the camera!

BTW - it took me a hot minute to get on the blurry photo trend. Once I started doing it intentionally & ensuring it was still a beautiful photo that made you feel - that made all the difference! Those photos exude romance & feeling.

To me, photography isn't just a job—it's an extension of who I am.

I don't just love my job; I couldn't imagine doing anything else. I'm at my most peaceful when I have a camera in hand. The past few years haven't been easy, but let me tell you, I'm overjoyed to be still doing what I love!

Take this weekend, for example. It was filled with three amazing couples, each unique in their own way but all so deeply in love. Love really is the most beautiful high, and I consider myself incredibly lucky to capture it through my lens.

I recall my first wedding, which was a disaster from start to finish. However, if I had given up then, I wouldn't have learned all the valuable lessons I did.

Delivering photo albums and seeing the joy and tears on my client's faces as they relive their special day always reaffirm that I'm exactly where I'm meant to be.

For all the couples in love, parents, creatives, Wisconsinites, engaged couples, and outdoor lovers out there, thank you for inviting me to be a part of your journeys. Here’s to capturing more beautiful moments together.

As much as we wish you to stay in the moment of the day as much as possible. I adore watching people take photos - capturing those memories to be re-lived. ​​​​​​​​

What I do ask is:​​​​​​​​
- You stay out of the aisle & our way as much as possible. To not hinder us from doing our job or missing a moment. ​​​​​​​​
- Own a photo business & take photos to then post on your business page. (talk to us before, we have a process for this!)​​​​​​​​

Thankful — so freaking thankful.

This year marks 17 years in business, 10 of which have been full-time here in Madison. Justin and I took a massive leap moving here from Stevens Point with no real plan. Just an apartment, no jobs besides photography, and a whole lot of "let's just see what happens."

It was a wild ride. I had zero idea if we'd actually be able to pay our bills doing this full-time. But we did it. A few years ago, Justin picked up another job, too, to help cover bills and house upkeep (owning a house is awesome, but the previous owners are an enemy you never meet 😅).

Y'all, I am so very thankful and honestly still a little flabbergasted that this is my life. The little girl version of me is freaking out right now.

Here's to the leap, the wild ride, and everyone who's trusted us along the way.

If you have a backyard, you have a photo location!

I challenged myself to see if I could make beautiful family photos in our own backyard! I hung some sheets on our clothing line to block the "ugly" parts & this beautiful family ran around!

Yoshi planned the proposal to Michaela at Boerner Botanical Gardens because she loves nature & also wanted somewhere romantic! He's never been to the gardens before, so we guided him to one of the most romantic spots. The Rose Garden!

It was the 1st HOT day after a few weeks of cool weather, yet it set the tone for such a romantic & fun session. A session that ended with flying & SO MUCH laughter!

The little things that we got to witness that showcased how beautiful their relationship & connection is. We are SO STOKED for these two & the new adventure they are on together!
