My darkroom prints are a labor of love, handmade in our basement darkroom. The process has remained much the same for over a century. It is an entirely analog process using only light and chemistry. Each print can take hours to perfect. Which is part of the reason I offer them in small limited and numbered editions. Typically either editions of 5 or 10 prints. Then I mount them using archival museum quality mats and frame them behind UV glass. Thank You!!!! The Kickstarter is going great. I really appreciate all the support. We’re two thirds of the way to the goal in just 3 days. So I’m optimistic. I thought I’d explain a little more about what Kickstarter is because some of you might be unfamiliar. By backing the project you are pre-ordering the book. You can just buy the book or different reward levels include prints, or the workshop. Each reward level comes with the book at the regular price. It will just arrive in November once it’s published. The funds raised with the Kickstarter is a way for us to gauge interest before committing to the costs of publishing. It’s looking good so far!

Twelve years in the making!!! The Kickstarter is live now for my third book, “The Pinhole Thing: The Beauty of Simplicity”. With your help we can make this a reality!!! You can pre-order the book today or purchase framed limited edition darkroom prints. You can also take my VIP pinhole workshop and try pinhole photography yourself.

What started as a crazy idea to try something completely new back in 2013 evolved into a body of work that I exhibited in art fairs and galleries around the Midwest. The dream has become to produce a book of my best pinhole images. The book idea has been sidetracked many times, but since January I’ve been editing and designing the book. The Kickstarter is just that, a kickstart to gauge interest before committing to the risk and investment in self-publishing another book. In the next 30 days the hope is to raise at least a portion of the costs of publishing. Here we go!

Just finished framing two new pinhole darkroom prints tonight that I'll be adding to the Kickstarter. These are handmade limited edition silver gelatin prints. There is no computer involved in making these prints. It's a completely analog process using light and chemistry.
