to two seniors who couldn't have been more different.

One gave me exactly one request:
❌ "Nothing green."

The other one wanted:
✅ More green.

Green was his "thing", and he loved it so much that he even chose a green cover for his album!

And honestly? I loved both ideas.

That's one of my favorite parts of senior portraits. No two seniors are exactly alike, and no two sessions should be either. I love the creative challenge of taking a senior's ideas and turning them into images they can't wait to show off!

Your portraits should reflect YOUR personality, YOUR style, and the things that matter to you, even a color (or lack of a color!).

Class of 2027...what's your vision?

Who says your portrait session has to look a certain way?

Bring the boots.
Bring the vintage vibes.
Bring the groovy ideas.

The best sessions start with a story, and sometimes that story is simple...like an amazing outfit that you know you can OWN.

Safe to say Brynn absolutely brought this vintage vibe to life.

Class of 2027, what's your story?

06/15/2026

Senior portraits can be a lot more than documenting one person before their senior year. More than just one good piture for the yearbook, or for Instagram.

They can be about sports, music, your car, city lights, pets, friendships, books, family, or the things that make someone uniquely who they are.

Every senior has a different story.

What will your story look like?

Class of 2027, let's create something unforgettable.

to Felix, Cian, and Henry's senior portrait session.

If you know me, you know that I love it when there's a story behind the photos. We definitely had a story here!

These three had been friends since elementary school, so their moms scheduled their senior portrait sessions together. Along with their individual portraits, we made time for some photos together—some at their old school (where the playground equipment was a just a bit snug for them 🤣)—and had a little fun along the way.

Senior portraits can be a lot more than documenting one person before their senior year. They can also be about remembering the important people who were part of the journey that got them there.

Been working on some new athlete media day ideas lately... ⚾

The goal isn't just documenting a season.

It's creating images that help teams showcase their athletes, promote their program, and highlight the personality, confidence, and passion they bring to their sport—all while giving athletes images they're excited to share.

Excited about where this is heading. More to come. 👀

✨One of my favorite yearbook photo stories...

Your yearbook photo doesn't have to be the most traditional image from your session.

This former senior really surprised me when he chose this sunrise portrait as his yearbook photo.

It wasn't the obvious choice.

It wasn't the "standard" yearbook pose. It definitely wasn't the image I thought he'd choose!

But it felt like him, so he picked that one to represent him in the yearbook as he ended his high school career.

The best senior portraits aren't always about following a formula. They're about capturing personality and creating images that mean something to you.

It was a pleasure working with this group this season, and now it's time for playoff baseball. ⚾

Wishing the Sun Prairie West Wolves the best of luck as they begin tournament play! Play hard. Compete. Leave it all on the field.

Go Wolves! 💙🖤

This shoot was supposed to happen at dusk for that nighttime, moody vibe.

Life had other plans, and our dusk shoot got moved to midday in bright afternoon sun.

So we built the mood ourselves. 🎸⚡️

Natural light is great… until it isn’t.

Sometimes, it's just too much. Blown out skies, harsh shadows. But add a bit of lighting? And you can rescue those beautiful skies but still also show off that accentuates your subject in all the right ways. It can be tricky, sure. But there are so many more possibilities for amazing images when you use a bit of extra lighting.

Standout portraits don't happen by accident. They're crafted.

(And a shoutout to Grant, class of 2025!)

Natural light? Nice.
Professional lighting that flatters you and brings the WOW? Even better.

A lot of people think you don’t need extra lighting on a bright sunny day — but actually, it’s the opposite. That harsh sun can create deep shadows and blown-out highlights. I use pro lighting to balance the scene and light everything well — not just your face, but your whole image, background included.

When I was testing lighting before posing with Grant for the "real" images, I grabbed this perfect comparison. First shot: just natural light. Second shot: with pro lighting.
💡 The difference? Clear as day.

I don’t just chase the sun — I bring the glow with me.

(Congratulations to Grant...Class of 2025!)
