“You don’t get the moments in life back, so get them photographed.”

When Britt wrote this after our session, I thought, YES! She totally gets it. There’s no rewind button, trust me, I’ve tried.

Britt is seriously such a rockstar. She wrangled four kids, got everyone ready, drove over an hour to meet me, and still managed to be on time. Watching her with her kids was impressive. She handled everything with a calm, gentle ease that made it all look effortless. I know her morning must have been chaotic, but years down the road, when she looks at these photographs, that crazy morning will be so worth it for the memories with her littles.

I thought I'd shake things up a bit and let you in on what Brooke had to say about her maternity session.

"I was really unsure if I wanted maternity photos. I haven’t felt like myself, but didn’t want to forget this time either. When I saw Jess was stepping back into photography, it felt like a sign. Having worked with her three years prior, I knew she was capable of taking the tiniest moment and making it something so special.

Jess made me feel so comfortable in my own skin and saw what my eyes couldn’t at the time. I am so grateful I made the choice to have Jess take these photos. I can’t believe I almost lost out on all of these beautiful moments.

And it helps that my dogs adore her!"

A little share, and then a question for you guys. I’d really love to hear what you think!

I can't tell you how much I appreciate the likes, shares, reviews, and referrals - they mean the world to a small business like mine. Caiti has been one of my biggest cheerleaders from the get-go. Her support hasn't gone unnoticed, and I'm super grateful that she's included me in all the major moments of her life so far - engagement, wedding, and now, several family sessions. When I stumbled on this cool new studio space and thought, "Why not give it a shot?" Caiti and her girls immediately came to mind. We had a blast dancing, cuddling up and snacking (lots of snacking). Caiti is seriously such a rockstar mom! Wrangling three girls under 5? I don’t know how she keeps it together, but she does it with a smile on her face, and a coffee in her hand.

Here's the scoop—I shared a studio space once upon a time. It was like a dream come true... until, well, the world shut down. Long story short, I barely got to step foot in there. And since then, I've been on the lookout for that same magic, that same vibe, but nothing quite clicked like that old spot. This new studio I found? It really feels perfect. After chatting with so many of my amazing families over the past 14 years, one thing has become clear: life gets busy, and printing those precious memories can feel like just another item on your never-ending to-do list, and often times wind up living on devices.
