For the first summer in 7 years my fingers arenât constantly caked with dirt. My mornings arenât being spent with the bees, butterflies and hummingbirds while I water before the sun is too high in the sky. My tables arenât filled with jars of fresh cut flowers and I donât have calendula, yarrow and borage drying all over the house. For the first summer in 7 years I donât have a garden waiting for me to tend to her. Which also means I donât have a garden waiting to tend to me.
A garden who has held me through so many seasons.
A garden who has gifted me so much wisdom
And a garden who has taught me that it is ok to slow down, to be patient with the process, to listen to my intuition, to take a break, to REST and to trust that the next season will be the best one yet.
