Iโ€™ll keep a small, carefully selected collection of family work on my website so you can still see what a session with me looks and feels like, but Iโ€™m choosing to be much more intentional about what I regularly put out on social media.

The recent 7th Circuit ruling involving AI-generated CSAM was enough for me to really think about what Iโ€™m comfortable putting on the internet. I use AI in my business at times and think there are some incredibly useful things about it, but I also REALLY donโ€™t trust where this technology is headed when it comes to our images or what someone can do with an innocent photograph once itโ€™s online. I canโ€™t control what happens to an image after I put it out there or whether our laws will ever keep up with technology, but I can control what I contribute to it.

Youโ€™ll still see families and kids in my work, just in ways that tell the story without identifying them. Maybe Iโ€™m overly cautious, but Iโ€™m okay with that. Their safety and privacy will always matter more to me than having another photo to post.
