the month of May has always been my FAVORTIE🥹💗💓 it was GRAD SZN this month!😄📸✨ I explored more with outdoor shoots rather than indoors given the occasions and I’m finding a new love for outdoors!!!🥰🧚🏼 I would love to experiment more in the months to come. BIRTHDAY SHOOTS are probably hands down my favorite to shoot!😄😊🌸✨ I absolutely love celebrating a milestone of life with my clients and capturing them for their special day!🥹🌸✨ the famous SPOTLIGHT CIRCLE is so iconic for birthdays as requested by the client- however to stand out she wanted her shoot to reflect more of an airy, lighthearted, feminine touch as opposed to the dark, intimate style that is commonly used! Through inspiration pictures I studied I attempted to recreate the same color/lighting she wanted and it came out better than expected!😄📸💐✨

LIGHTING-WISE: I incorporated one strobe light where I connected my optical snoot to create the spotlight effect. Next I used two RGB lights to create a yellow/beige color to spill on the wall as opposed to no light creating a black shadow on the wall. Next I used my mylar sheet to create the “WATER” effect for flooring.

Editing wise, I wanted to keep everything very light and airy. When editing my back wall, I noticed the color actually had an ombré effect and the editing only solidified it. It added a “sunset” like vibe to the overall picture!🤩💐🤍✨ we decided to go with this look rather than one simple color.✨🤍

Overall, this is one of my favorite spotlight shoots as it is different than any other one I’ve done so far! I always love creating each shoot different and unique from the last one. Can’t wait to use these techniques in my next shoot!😄🤩📸🤍✨

One of my favorite things as a photographer is helping business owners bring their vision to life—and this brand session was everything to shoot!😍😄🤎✨
-
What I love most about brand photography is capturing portraits that don’t just showcase the business, but tell the story of the person behind it!✨ For this shoot, I really wanted every detail to reflect her personality and creativity behind her TOOTH GEMS business. The 90s/2000s aesthetic and bold pops of color represented who the client was on a personal level and her pink business attire represented the entrepreneur that she is through GEM DISTRICT. Both pieces came together to create a vibe that felt both timeless and authentic. Also shown, you will see the certified equipment the client uses during every appointment! I absolutely LOVED how it was all pieced together.🥹😄🤎🧚🏽✨

For lighting✨ I used a two light system with both of my strobes at the 45. I controlled the light to spill on the subject evenly on both angles while keeping my background in the shadows to add more depth to the vision😄🦷🤎✨

Inspired by my last photoshoot and client- I am wanting to create an “AFTER SERIES” with this concept🤍 I’m falling more in love with the intimate editorial look for my portraits🥹💙 Photography is such a science that takes time to master and I’m not even where I want to be in terms of it! With this ✨AFTER SERIES✨I want to establish the mood and passion for Captured By Bri. I absolutely love challenging myself to create the next shoot different than the last in terms of lighting, angles, and composition. This was definitely one of the more challenging shoots😅🤍 but once we finally cracked it- the end result is what makes it worthwhile!😄🩵📸✨

LIGHTING wise, I used a three light system, 1 strobe, 1 continuous light, and a background light. It was important to have the shadows fall where I wanted them to has I maneuvered the lights to the position I wanted throughout the frames😄🙌🏾🤍✨

POSING wise- even though the After Series has the same dynamic, mood, and tone I definitely want each volume to be different in terms of posing. Very relaxed but intentional. And she embodied it just that in her own way! A STAR!🥹😄💙✨
