Happy New Year 2026. My “professional” photography journey started with the moon. Since my father was a professional photographer and I was often his test subject, I never imagined I would pursue it professionally.

I got my first big camera in 2021 for a family trip to Disney World, and I’ve really embraced it since.

What sparked my interest in a better camera for that trip was my inability to capture a picture of the moon. One night, it looked so beautiful, and I tried to capture that moment with my iPhone, but it just couldn’t do justice to what I saw.

The moon has always held a special place in my heart. After that moment, it symbolized a new beginning and new opportunities for me. Just like the moon goes through phases and changes, it also stays constant.

What could be a more fitting image to welcome the new year?
