The black-tailed jackrabbit (Lepus californicus), also known as the American desert hare, is a common hare of the western United States and Mexico.
Reaching a length around 2 ft (61 cm), and a weight from 3 to 6 lb (1.4 to 2.7 kg), the black-tailed jackrabbit is one of the largest North American hares.
The black-tailed jackrabbit does not migrate or hibernate during winter and uses the same habitat year-round. Its diet is composed of various shrubs, small trees, grasses, and forbs.

The American coot (Fulica americana), also known as a mud hen or pouldeau, is a bird of the family Rallidae. Después de varios días de estar planeando esta foto, se llegó el día. La idea era que mi compañera de vida, de viajes y de locuras, estuviese “dentro” de la luna. Y al parecer hasta estuvo jugando con ella jejeje.
After several days planning this photo, the day arrived. The idea was that my partner of life, travel and madness, was “inside” the moon. And apparently she was even playing with her hehehe.

Águila pescadora, Osprey (Pandion haliaetus)
Me propuse esperar y ver pescar a esta ave; esperamos (no estaba solo) casi 3 horas y nunca apareció, así que guardé mi cámara y nos dispusimos a irnos. En ese preciso momento, vimos venir un ave grande, (no agarré la cámara, solo observamos) era el águila pescadora y justo cuando se acercaba a nosotros se lanzó en picada al agua y agarró un pez (fue magnifico), todo sucedió muy rápido, justo ahí fue cuando si saqué la cámara y logré capturar un par de imágenes del ave alimentándose sobre un poste de luz.
