Every step climbed was a powerful tribute to the first responders, service members, and civilians we lost on September 11, 2001. This event is not only a memorial, but also a reminder of resilience, sacrifice, and unity.

Spending the last two days at the First Responders Summit left me in awe of the quiet heroes who keep our community safe. The energy in the room camaraderie, shared purpose, and unwavering dedication was nothing short of inspiring.

From hands-on demonstrations to candid conversations, this summit wasn’t about titles or accolades. It was about teamwork, resilience, and the unspoken promise to protect and serve, no matter the cost.

To every firefighter, EMT, law enforcement officer, and dispatcher in the room: Thank you for letting us witness your passion up close. Your work isn’t just a job it’s the heartbeat of our community.

Thank you to all the community partners and resources that were present as well!

Last night, I had the honor of attending the Mental Health Forum hosted by Empowering Voices Inc., where five incredible panelists came together to share their wisdom, lived experiences, and actionable strategies for navigating mental health challenges. The conversation was raw, real, and deeply inspiring.

From dismantling stigma to discussing coping mechanisms for diagnoses, each panelist representing diverse backgrounds and expertise brought unique perspectives that reminded us all: mental health is not a solitary journey, and vulnerability is courage.
