Maggie, Bishop Watterson, 2027.

The little sister... I feel like we were just doing her sister's pictures yesterday, and now here we are all over again. Silly and spunky and so fun, kind, compassionate, and adorably Maggie. I have absolutely loved photographing this girl over the years.

Her mom reminded me again tonight that the first time we did her pictures, we did so on my kitchen floor... why did I think that was a good idea?!? But she kept calling me back just the same, and over the years I was lucky enough to capture so many life milestones, complete with all the props, from lemonade to halloween costumes to paint to backyard trampolines.

We blinked... and here we are. Happy senior year to Maggie! Enjoy every moment!

Brady, ECHS, 2027.

Tonight's weather gave us a little bit of everything: some sun, some clouds, a little bit of rain, a flooded park... and so did Brady. He is in so many activities... a swimmer, a scout, show choir combo, and football. I mentioned my love of Spider-Man, and he even delivered on a Spidey pose for me.

This session marks two swimming Bradys in a row for me. I'm so thankful my path crossed with these swimmer kiddos - which really only happened because of my middle son's freshman year XC injury. Brady injured his knee last spring and is on the long road to recovery, unable to take to the field this fall for football, but he's still out there every day helping his team be better. This takes so much strength and character, and he is rocking it.

Cannot wait to see him in the water again this winter!

Brady, MHS, 2027.

This boy... he is a phenomenal swimmer. He powers through the water with the most amazing strength... our school record board is filled with his name. He is kind, smart, and a great student. Plus, he is the best kind of friend to my middle son.

Tonight we hung out and snapped a few pictures while exploring together. I love that he took me up on the assignment of "bring your favorite tshirts" -- for the tour of tshirt captures at the end.

Brady -- wishing you the most amazing senior year, the best of luck on college visits, and I cannot wait to see you hanging out in my basement again over breaks... pizza and cookies will be waiting for you!

Noah, MHS, 2027.

He's a speedy one, a soccer boy. He once lived in Hawaii (jealous) and San Diego (double jealous) before he became my neighbor for a few short months before we moved.

He's off and running on this senior year with soccer in full swing, already working on APUSH notes, and enjoying his late-start mornings. He's set for more hurdling around the track this winter and spring.

Wishing him the best senior year ever!

Stella, Bishop Watterson, 2027.

Beautiful, stunning Stella. I first met this one so many years ago -- I'm guessing at least 14 years ago. She's all ready for this senior year -- last season to play soccer, finalizing her college list, senior sunrise... all the things.

On a random note, for some reason I fretted the start time of her session all week, and ended up deciding to bounce her forward earlier than I usually do. The rain started to fall the second we got in our cars to call it done -- which normally would have been close to the time we would have started. There was no chance of rain, so I'm calling that some kinda of luck.

Wishing you the most amazing, lucky, and happy senior year.

Lux, Solon HS, 2027.

I told you this one was fun! A mom who promises album-cover-style senior season to get her boy all in on the photo experience. I was not about to pass up this opportunity to break out of the senior mold a bit for something unique.

I first met this beautiful, kind soul as a baby. Again, all grown-up... I'm a broken record on that one. He has huge dreams and is a wicked talented artist and musician. I loved catching up with Lux and his momma tonight to create these very square cropped slices of Lux.

Stay you, Lux. Because you are so authentic.

And yes, he really did find a real dragonfly in an urban area and then positioned it perfectly on his face.

His mom might have promised him a session where we'd capture senior pictures that looked like album covers. I'm just home and couldn't wait to load this capture -- we did not plan this.

Full preview coming later after I go get my steps and dinner in. This was a fun one!

Aiden, Olentangy, 2027.

Some of these kiddos pull at your heartstrings. This boy was a wee little one when I first met him. He's one day into his senior year, still on the soccer pitch, planning college visits, and so glad to be done with pictures.

It was lovely catching up with Aiden and his momma tonight. Someone slow down time!

I'm back after a double college drop-off and working on getting caught up on all things... including galleries and fall session planning.

If I owe you a gallery, I'm picking up with Meara's! And if you have a session yet this fall (there are still 15 to go!), I'll be in touch a week to ten days in advance to coordinate location details and start weather watch...
