Justin Whittall had a fantastic run during the Night Before the 50 at Port Royal Speedway last night, charging from 15th to 5th and taking home the Hard Charger award. The 2025 Port Royal track champion is definitely someone who could walk away with the trophy in tonight’s Tuscarora 50.

Congratulations to the “Kunkletown Kid” Ryan Smith for winning the 2026 track championship at Port Royal Speedway! Smith clinched the crown with his 2nd place finish last night in the Donnie Kreitz owned 69K during the Night Before the 50 at the Speed Palace.

Congratulations to Chase Dietz for his first career win against Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing in The Night Before the 50 at Port Royal Speedway tonight! The White Rose City phenom also picks up his 20th win of the season. After the heartbreak of blowing a tire late in last night’s race, sweet redemption for Dietz and the Stehman 23.

Port Royal Speedway has been a happy hunting ground for Doug Hammaker and the Sandy Kline owned number 22. The Grantville, PA wheelman picked up his first two 410 wins of his career at the Speed Palace earlier this season. Hammaker had a phenomenal run last night in the prelim race with a fantastic 5th place finish against a stacked field of High Rollers and the PA Posse’s best. That car/driver combo is fast there so I think more good things are in store tonight and tomorrow.

Doug Hammaker in the Sandy Kline owned J & S Classics number 22 during the Fall Championship at Williams Grove Speedway, 9-4-26.

The Grantville, PA speedster has had a damn fine sophomore season in 410 competition, picking up a pair of wins at Port Royal and last Friday he chalked up his 3rd win of the 2026 season and his first 410 win at the Grove. The transition from 358 to 410 is a challenge, but Hammaker has settled in quite nicely.
