We can laugh at Donald Trump, say he’s ridiculous, and feel good that he lost the debate. But he didn’t lose his followers. The news will sell us it’s about winning the debate but we need instead to keep the focus on them by remembering it’s about winning the election.

Authorities in Springfield Ohio evacuated city hall after receiving bomb threats for several locations in the town. The threats came after accusations about the behavior of Haitians who live there.

Being with Colin after living a wonderful solo life all my adult years has been difficult. It’s an adjustment for me from enjoying my life on my own for its own sake to now being close emotionally and physically to someone who is special to me and me to him. It’s habits of living versus habits of the heart. This classic song sung by Céline Dion has been affording me some comfort. It’s a beautiful song as it is, just as my life was before Colin. The piano interlude for me then feels like when things started changing. When the song comes back in and she nails that now famous high E-flat, it’s like the whole frigging world modulates around her to a new key, and that’s how I feel now when Colin has come into my life. Same song but now magnified with feelings beyond those I once enjoyed all by myself. Love you, buddy boi, even when you don’t put yourself through nursing school for us.

It makes me angry when caregivers and regulations limit pain medicine to those of us in pain all in the name of controlling the opioid epidemic when one person, ONE PERSON, once again is found issuing millions of opioid pills and the industry doesn‘t notice that? Like hell they don’t but while pain sufferers hardly increase profits on an individual basis, the ka-ching of an individual peddling millions of pills is music to their ears and not the alarm sound it should be. That is, until they get caught, by the government being bilked of billions of dollars and not by the pharmaceutical industry too busy counting that stolen cash to count the pills.

One of the accused Floridians was a nurse who stole fentanyl from patients who needed it and instead injected himself with the substance inside hospital bathrooms, the Department of Justice said.

Dogs Ain't Dumb No.54: Colin says he's gonna take the pooch on a car ride through the neighborhood, her favorite Thing To Do, and goes off to get ready. I go into the bedroom where she is, on the floor going antsy for me to put her up on the bed, her favorite Place To Be. I look down and say, "No, you're going with Colin!" Pointy ears go up as she races for the front door to wait for Colin. I don't care how you parse this from the point of view that dogs don't process language, but Occam's Razor says the simplest solution is that she understands English.

What this story most confirms for me is that Florida really is America's Australia. A young girl while playing in a city park gets bitten by a water moccasin, as if that wasn't Florida enough, but that it turned out to be was just a "dry bite." A "dry bite? You mean to say that in Florida we even have categories which we assign snakebites:
" Yep, bitten by a water moccasin. "
" Oooh! Was it a dry bite?"
"Yep."
"Then it's all right.

That is so far beyond just running off screaming " Snake!" like the rest of the country.
