Photographer friends, quick heads up ⚠️
I was recently contacted about a “team photo session” for a volleyball group in the Memphis area. Everything sounded legitimate at first, but a few things raised red flags:
• Vague details about the team
• Willingness to pay in full immediately
• Request to pay by check
• Increasing urgency to lock in the date
After doing some research, I found that this is a known scam targeting photographers. The “team” does not exist, and similar messages have been reported by others.
If you receive an inquiry like this, trust your instincts and verify everything before accepting payment.
