Loved getting to work with Noelle on her Branding shots! Can’t wait to share more…in meantime, read her caption to learn how to support a worthwhile organization!
“Mary Oliver’s Swan” gouache on paper, 41 x 29”.
Advance Memphis’ annual fundraiser Art for Jobs is next month, Thursday, September 24. I feel honored to participate this year as one of three featured artists for this event in company with many wonderful local artists. Advance Memphis is a non profit organization providing free classes in job readiness and financial literacy education as well as money management, counseling and addiction recovery services. Do not under appreciate what it takes to get a job and keep at it! On the night of the 24th, the warehouse will be transformed into an inviting and extensive art gallery where my city will gather to support their neighborly work.
I am thrilled to share my collection, Art from the Park, sprung from love of Memphis’ beloved Shelby Farms Park. All the details of these pieces will be sent to my email list this week. You can sign up through the link in my bio if you are interested. I hope you can come!
**Two paintings included in this Park series came into being from poetry reading rather than time at Shelby Farms, but I felt they belonged anyway. More about my swans and goldfish to come.
📸 Thank you Stefanie Rawlinson , for taking so many great photos of this collection for me. You are one of the coolest people I know. LOVE!
