Merry Christmas from the stars! This morning there was news of the long awaited successful launch of the James Webb Space Telescope from French Guiana! This is only the beginning of a 1 month journey and 6 month process of preparing the instruments for imaging what will likely be the most mind blowing images of space, from space, EVER. For now though here’s a terrestrial shot photo of the Milky Way and Rho Ophiuchi Complex from the coast of Mendocino.
