It’s only been a couple of days, but I’m already really missing those beautiful North Carolina beaches. 🌅🌊

There’s just something about standing on the beach before the day begins, watching a golden sunrise paint the sky and reflect across the ocean. The sound of the waves, the salty air, and that peaceful feeling of having the whole morning ahead of you… it’s hard to leave that behind.

Already looking forward to the next time we can chase those golden skies along the coast. 📸

Talk about being in the right place at the right time! ⚡🌊

Managed to capture this incredible lightning strike during a storm rolling across the ocean off the coast of North Carolina tonight. Watching the storm build over the water was amazing enough, but catching a bolt like this lighting up the sky was the perfect ending to the evening.

Sometimes you just have to have the camera ready and wait for that one perfect moment! 📸⚡

Another beautiful sunrise this morning at Topsail Island! 🌅
The colors were absolutely phenomenal as the sun started to break over the horizon. Moments like this are exactly why I love getting up early and having the camera ready. You never know what kind of beauty you’re going to find waiting for you. 📸

Sometimes the best parts of a road trip are the stops you never planned on making!

On our way to North Carolina, we were cruising down the interstate just outside of Indianapolis when my wife’s eagle eye spotted some wildlife. Before you know it, we were pulling off the highway and heading toward Eagle Creek Park to see what we could find.

Eagle Creek Park is a massive 5,300-acre green space with a 1,400-acre reservoir, and it didn’t take long to realize we had made the right decision to stop. The reservoir was full of life, with Blue Herons, Great Egrets, Gulls, American Pelicans, and Ospreys all enjoying the water.

What was supposed to be a quick stop along the way turned into another little wildlife adventure—and, of course, another opportunity to pull out the camera. 📸

That’s one of the things I love about traveling. You can have a destination in mind, but sometimes the unexpected stops along the way end up being the memories you remember most.

And this was just the beginning of our adventures on the road to North Carolina! 🚗📸
