, I have pursued digital photography, training in cities like Paris and New York, and earning a Master of Photography Diploma under Serge Ramelli. My camera has taken me across Europe, Africa, Asia, and North America, always seeking to balance creativity with evolving technology. My photography journey took on a profoundly deeper meaning eight years ago, when my wife was diagnosed with Alzheimerā€™s Disease. Our travels together became a way to find peace and beauty in the midst of caregiving. As her disease progressed, each adventure required careful planning and unwavering attention, but these journeys allowed us to stay connected and savor life together. Photography became my sanctuary, a way to cope, reflect, and find purpose. In the early days, I found solace along the Chicago lakefront, capturing the interplay of city and water. Today, my wife requires full-time care and resides in a memory care facility near the cities where we both grew up. While our days of traveling together have ended, photography remains a constant in my life. Weekly visits with her are bittersweet, but photograph continues to bring me immense joy. Each photograph I create is a tribute to resilience, love, and the enduring human spirit. My journey as an Alzheimerā€™s caregiver has shaped my art and my outlook, reminding me to seek beauty, even in the darkest times. I continue to pledge a percentage of my earnings to the Alzheimerā€™s Association, using my images to raise awareness and foster understanding for those affected by this disease. I hope my story inspires others facing similar challenges to find their own ways to cope, and to always look for the light - one step, and one photograph, at a time. Finding calm in difficult seasons
Resilience is a black-and-white photograph of a solitary tree leaning across an open landscape beneath a heavy overcast sky. I captured it as a reminder that strength doesnā€™t always look the way we expect it to. Sometimes it is simply the courage to remain rooted, even while leaning into lifeā€™s harder seasons. For me, that feels deeply connected to caregiving, memory, and the long road of love.

As I prepare for the Walk to End Alzheimerā€™s in Chicago and Boston, I keep coming back to the people who show up every day for loved ones facing this disease. Caregivers know that some days are about progress, and some days are about simply holding steady.

I am an Alzheimer Caregiver and this photo is a representation of what my journey looked like at times - unpredictable, lonesome, weary, hopeful, etc., etc. I am looking to use coastal scenes like this one to support others facing the same road.
This year, I am using my photography to support the Alzheimerā€™s Association Walk to End Alzheimerā€™s in both Chicago on October 3, 2026, and Boston on October 18, 2026. This cause is deeply personal to me. It is about supporting families, funding care and support, and helping move research forward toward a future without Alzheimerā€™s.
I believe art can do more than decorate a wall. It can tell a story, honor a journey, and help bring people together for a cause that matters. Through this fundraiser, I hope to use my images not only to create awareness, but also to inspire action, generosity, and connection.

If youā€™ve been meaning to help, nowā€™s a great time to take that next step. Every donation matters, and every walker helps bring us closer to a world without Alzheimerā€™s.

I'm seeing a lot of artists celebrating World Photography Day today and wanted to join in on the appreciation!

It's a celebration of the way artists preserve moments that might otherwise pass unnoticed. Every work of art begins with the same simple act: paying attention.

Artists notice the light, the atmosphere, the emotion, the relationships, and the everyday moments that many of us walk past without a second thought.
