One of the great pleasures I have enjoyed is concert photography. I have met a lot of musicians I might not have otherwise met. Sadly today, I have learned that one of them Jeff Blexrud has passed away. Amongst the many concert photos that adorn my walls Jeff is present.

A veteran bass player, the first time I met him he pulled out a "Bass guitar for dummies" book as a joke. This was also the session where I was asked to take band pictures for the (at the time) upcoming Rhinestone Diplomats CD. Things don't always work out the way we want, but I feel blessed that one of my pictures which includes Jeff and the band made the back side of the CD.

In recent years Jeff and I have only stayed in touch on FB, and it saddens me that I will no longer be able to correspond with Jeff.

I will drink a toast to Jeff and wish His family strength in these dark times of family loss.
