Yesterday, I joined KatRam Photography as she reported on the devastating terrorist attack on Bourbon Street, just 25 minutes from our home in Metairie. My heart aches for the victims, their families, and everyone who witnessed or was impacted by this horrific act.
The swift response from the City of New Orleans, joint law enforcement agencies, and government officials has been both commendable and a testament to the strength and resilience of this community. I saw firsthand their unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety of citizens and visitors alike, operating with immense caution and care.
I ask you to join me in prayer:
Pray for peace – Peace on the streets of New Orleans. Peace for those mourning unimaginable losses. Peace for those processing the trauma of such a graphic and senseless event. Peace for the first responders and heroes who acted with courage and selflessness.
Pray for healing – Physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual healing for every person affected. May God bring miraculous restoration to their hearts and lives.
New Orleans is resilient. We have faced challenges before and will overcome this too. Through faith and unity, we will heal and rebuild.
Psalm 34:18 (NLT): "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; He rescues those whose spirits are crushed."
Lord, we pray for Your unexplainable peace and miraculous healing to surround and uplift those impacted.
