Parties, shows and social events are always my favorite time to be a photographer. People are most radiant when they are singing, belly laughing, admiring one another, freely in communion with the ones they love. When they aren't at all conscious of what they look like. When they think nobody's watching and so they allow the pride, giddiness, grief & joy and overwhelming love of being alive to shine through, without the filter of ego or insecurity that we all wear so often. It's at these moments that I feel most connected, even from a distance, and I consider myself so lucky for the opporitunity to capture and to be a part of it with so many wonderful people.
