Fall decor doesn’t have to mean orange pumpkins everywhere. 🍂🤎

For this centerpiece, we started with a neutral fall wreath and turned it into something completely different.

Add a base, bring in a candle for height, fluff and layer until it feels right and suddenly a wreath becomes a centerpiece. 👀

That’s one of our favorite things about styling: don’t get stuck on what an item is “supposed” to be. Sometimes the best finds are the ones you can use in an unexpected way.

Festive, warm, and still neutral enough to work with your everyday decor. 🤎

Would you try using a wreath as a centerpiece?

Selling your home doesn’t mean you have to skip fall altogether. 🍂🤎

You still live there, and you should still get to enjoy the season! The key is finding the balance between making your home feel cozy for you and keeping it appealing to potential buyers.

Think warm textures, earthy tones, subtle seasonal touches and maybe a pumpkin or two. 😉🎃

You don’t have to remove your personality—you just don’t want the fall decor to become the first thing buyers notice.

Enjoy the season. Just let the home stay the star. 🤎

There’s a lot of “No… move it back.” “Wait, I liked it better before.” happening behind the scenes. 😂🤎

Styling is rarely getting it perfect on the first try. We move things, step back, change our minds, move them again and keep going until the room just feels right.

It may look like we’re simply arranging flowers or moving accessories around, but every little decision is helping create the feeling we want someone to have when they walk into the room.

That’s the part we love.

Before you add another piece of decor, ask: what does this space actually need?

When we style a kitchen, we’re not looking at an empty countertop thinking, “What can we put here?”

We’re thinking about intention.

Does it need warmth? Height? Texture? Contrast?
Or does it simply need room to breathe?

Sometimes a little greenery softens hard surfaces. A taller piece draws the eye. Wood or woven textures add warmth. And sometimes…the best choice is adding nothing at all. 👀

Good styling should suggest life, not just decoration.

The props aren’t the star. The home is. 🤎

Sometimes you have to see past the construction dust. 👀✨

When we first walked through this home, this space was still very much a work in progress.. boxes, tools, unfinished floors and all. 😂

But even then, we could see the potential.

Once everything was complete, we styled this bar/lounge area to feel like its own little moment.. warm, inviting, and connected to the rest of the home without overcrowding the space.

That’s one of our favorite parts of what we do: walking into a space as it is and already imagining what it could be. 🤎

Proof that styling doesn’t have to be so serious. 😂

Sometimes the detail a space needs is a beautiful vase.
Sometimes it’s greenery.
Sometimes it’s two little gold birds fighting for the better seat. 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

The small details are what give a space personality and we love mixing in pieces that are a little unexpected.

Not every accessory has to make sense or follow a “design rule.” If it adds interest, makes you smile, and feels right in the space… have fun with it.

Because a beautifully styled home should still feel like you. 🤎

Styling tip: don’t shop by aisle—shop by POSSIBILITY. 👀

Some of our favorite styling pieces are hiding in sections you might normally walk right past.

The dinnerware section is a GREAT place — and apparently everything was greeaaat to me this day 😂 — to find trays, bowls, platters and bases that can be used for so much more than serving food.

This tray? We’re not just thinking dinner. We’re thinking coffee table, kitchen island, console table… 🤎

Don’t limit yourself to what the label says something is for. Look at the shape, texture, color and scale and think about how else you could use it in your space.

Save this for your next Walmart run! Love this find? Shop this tray + more of our Walmart styling finds through the link in our bio.

5 QUESTIONS TO ASK BEFORE STYLING A LIVING ROOM

Before we think about pillows, artwork, or the perfect coffee table, we look at the room itself.

1. What’s the focal point?
2. Does the furniture fit the scale?
3. Is there a natural path through the room?
4. Does the room feel balanced?
5. What can I remove?

That last one might be our favorite. 👀

Sometimes when a room feels “off,” the answer isn’t to add another chair, pillow, basket, or accessory.

Sometimes it needs less.

Good styling gives beautiful pieces room to breathe while making the entire space feel intentional, balanced, and inviting.

Save this for the next time you’re rearranging your living room.
