I used to think that self erasure was love.
I spent so much time fighting battles that were never mine to fight, losing myself in the process. Then God lifted the veil and allowed me to see what was hidden. Even though the truth was hard to look at, He held me in stillness and simply asked me to hand Him back the sword, because those battles, belonged to Him all along.
He traded my burden for clarity, my exhaustion for rest, my grip for ordered steps, and I am guarding them like my life depends on it. I’m no longer scared of who or what I lose in the process. As long as I still have Him, and I don’t lose myself again, I’ll be just fine.
Cheers to another year around the sun 🥂. Also, big shoutout to my hubby for driving and patiently taking these photos 😘! Nick Liguori
