Hi, I’m Ashley—the girl who made the great outdoors and cozy stays her office. 🌲

You can usually find me somewhere between a cabin in the woods, third wheeling a couple, a design-forward city stay, or a family’s home where real life unfolds.

I’m here for legacy. For the photos your kids will look back on one day and say, “That’s exactly what our life felt like.” And for the stays built to hold those memories and connection.

A few things about me—
• Iced [decaf] coffee all year (no regrets)
• I’m raising my kids to love the outdoors and slow moments

Welcome to Nordhus Lodge—one of the North Shore’s largest stays 🌲

Six years ago, I got a last-minute email asking if I could photograph a wedding the following week. Little did I know that day would turn into a friendship with two incredible people. And now, they’ve welcomed their sweet, baby girl home. 🤍

I’ve had the privilege of witnessing their love grow in every season, them pursue their passions and careers, and it’s been so special to see them step into parenthood so well. These are the stories I’ll never stop being grateful to document. 🤎

• Kids run wild and are free to be themselves (and that’s totally fine)

• Lots of laughter

• Sometimes a few tears (also fine)

• A healthy mix of a little posing and a lot of intentional activities and candids

• Real moments and memories you’ll treasure 🤎

Your family doesn’t have to be “perfect” for your session to be. It’s what’s found in the authenticity of who you are as people in this season. The chaos, joy, laughter, independence, cuddles, curiosity…that’s where the beauty of your family is found. ✨

I’ve been photographing this sweet family since their oldest was a newborn, and it is truly the highest honor to document and be a witness to so much growth and beauty in their story and the home they’re building together over the years. Not just in a physical sense, but the foundational, emotional, and loving sense. So grateful 🤎
