I received an email today that the MFHA is requesting images from Hunts for the annual 2026 Hunt Directory. If your Hunt needs me to submit images please let me know. You can view memories from the past in my website .

It was Flower Day for me at Biltmore as I visited to capture some Sunflower images and other flowers from the Walled Garden. The Sunflowers may be near their end for the first planting and I will return later when the second bunch bloom.

My local Gray Fox decided to come visit this morning again and I was able to capture a few images up close.

The list of candidates for me to interview for a book is coming along nicely with 32 'Legends" submitted to date.
This year I am going to focus my visits and photography on capturing “Legends of the Hunt” as part of the process of writing a book to highlight those that have made significant contributions to the sport over the years.

This time of year I start planning my Fox Hunt photography season, focusing primarily on Opening Meets. I will still try and visit as many Opening Meets as possible.
This year I am going to focus my visits and photography on capturing “Legends of the Hunt” as part of the process of writing a book to highlight those that have made significant contributions to the sport over the years.
I was a Journalist early in my professional career and have been capturing Hunt images over the past seven years. I have met so many interesting people with interesting stories.
I frequently see sad notices of the passing of a member of a Hunt that I feel should have been captured in print and pictures. I want to capture their stories in interviews and images before it’s too late. I will mostly focus on "seasoned" Hunters but will consider any person of interest, regardless of age. It can be a Huntsman, Social Member, Hunt member or someone you feel has contributed greatly to the sport.
So this coming season I will still be visiting multiple Hunts, but will focus my visits on those that have a member(s) that have a story that needs to be told. I already have a few people in mind but am asking Hunts to provide me with members that have been a stalwart in the Field. They don’t have to be active Hunters but need to be willing to sit down and talk about their life in the sport of Fox Hunting.
I am prepared to travel far and wide in the States to capture these stories so I need to get nominations early to plan my trips.
I plan on recording an interview and images of those selected to compile in a book at the end of the season.

So for 6 years everyone has recognized my arrival via my Burnt Orange Ford Ranger. So in May I got a new ride, so maybe I can go incognito for a few trips. They don't offer the Ranger in the same color so I went with Dark Cherry Red.
Starting to make plans for this season's Fox Hunting adventures....

I had the pleasure of being on the water Saturday at the Beaufort Yacht & Sailing Club to capture images from the Southeast Sunfish Regional Championship. Here are a few images from the day which started out in hot and mild winds and increased as the afternoon went on.
My thanks to the staff and volunteers for letting my capturing memories.
