We've been following a litter of foxes behind our house. This little one was hanging out tonite waiting for mom to come home.

Updated imagery of the progress at the former Funk's Market. Its been about 6 weeks since we initially took aerial imagery and there is noticeable changes. We've included a digital surface map to show the way the land has been changed to accommodate the development. Recent reporting on the Conestoga River Club page indicated stormwater runoff in the nearby Conestoga River related to this development.

There's been a lot of talk about the development of the old Funk's Market property in MIllersville. Today we decided to create an orthomosaic mapping of the property and we plan on doing this throughout the project. Stay tuned for updated imagery!

No, we still can't use a thermal drone to locate your deer. Ridiculous that this has been stuck in committee since Feb. Reach out to your local representative and see if we can get this moving. The PGC argument that it will be abused is childish. We don't have an illegal gun or drug problem because it's been illegal for years, right? Do they really think it isn't already being abused and used for poaching? Bad people do bad things regardless of the written law.

Starting to get a look at the buck as they grow antlers. This is probably the same deer that would hang out around me last year. Called them the teenagers. They weren't big enough to shoot and always seemed to show up just as my attention was elsewhere. Caused more than one spike in heart rate last year. Probably still won't be big enough this year but fun to watch them grow.

Trying again, if you hunt please reach out to your PA Senator and let him know this needs to advance. There is no reason for game to suffer. The Pa Game Commission reasoning of "people will abuse it" is short sighted and, truthfully, ridiculous. Do they really believe people aren't abusing it already? Changing the law won't change people's actions. I'm all about increasing the penalties if people want to take game illegally.

Over the course of the last two weeks we've been called 4 times by local hunters to help locate deer using the thermal technology of our drones. And 4 times we've had to tell these people that due to the antiquated PA Game Laws there was nothing we could do to help them despite the fact that we could quickly and efficiently locate their deer. You can use a dog to track wounded or lost game in PA but not a drone.

Bill 1312, introduced by PA State Senator Jarrett Coleman of Allentown, allows for the use of drones for the recovery of harvested game. The legislation is a common sense answer to help hunters recover game. It allows for reduced waste and potentially a humane end to a wounded animal.

We encourage you to reach out to your local Pa Senator and ask them to support this bill.
