DocMyArt was launched in 2016 by Milwaukee based media artist, Adam White. Adam, b. 1993, grew up in Whitewater, WI. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interdisciplinary Arts and Technology from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.
They shoot with a Nikon D3200. They also enjoy capturing candid moments with iPhones. All photos and videos are edited in Adobe Lightroom / Premier.
In a
ddition to documentation services, Adam utilizes social media and docmyart.co to share, highlight, and archive photos and videos (coming soon) of Milwaukee's art community—exhibition openings, events, install and project processes, and artist interviews.
Clients include: 5 Points Art Gallery & Studios, FLUX Design, Hawthorn Contemporary, Lynden Sculpture Garden, Metta Lash, MINGADIGM, Reginald Baylor Studios, FLUX Design, Var Gallery & Studios, Var West Gallery, Woodland Pattern, and individual artists based in the Midwest. They have also collaborated with Walker's Point Center for the Arts (WPCA) & Artworks for Milwaukee through leading a multimedia storytelling internship for teenagers. They recognize the ongoing challenges that exist for individuals within the creative industry— both personally and publicly. DocMyArt is a means to balance these everyday obstacles. The archives are a space to celebrate growth, observe techniques, and revisit ideas. DocMyArt is a gesture of solidarity for their fellow peers in the creativity community.
