I attended the USCSA Ski Race at Spirit Mountain a couple of weeks ago. A friend let me borrow his 300mm, f2.8 lens so I was giving it a test. I had a lot of fun with that lens and now I want one for myself! I may have shot one of the best pictures of my short career with this lens!

Here are the snowboard racers. I grabbed some pictures of athletes going down the slalom course and the GS course. Those pictures are to come!

I stopped by the Mustang Dual Wrestling Meet to photograph the Irondale/SLP/St. Anthony Wrestling Team. I have never watched a wrestling match before; I had to ask a parent where to even find the right match. I felt lost with how it was scored and especially how to photograph the event. It was a complete test of my ability. However, I’m pretty happy with how the pictures turned out.

At the Mounds View Invite, I decided to try and capture the event from a different angle. Because the coaches are usually some of the most entertaining to watch, I specially tried to capture their excitement and energy from a different angle. There was a gap in the bleachers where I slid in and captured a coach at their best.

To close out 2025 and my Top 25 of 2025, first, I want to say thank you for following me and engaging with my posts. I enjoy photography for a lot of reasons but the joy you get as athletes is one of the top reasons I do what I do. Thank you to the athletes that I’ve captured. Without you putting all your time and energy into your sports, I wouldn’t have any insane moments to capture.

Secondly, I’m excited for 2026. This past year was a year of growth but also a year of struggle. Personally I struggled while my photography grew. 2026 is already going to start off hot and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the year will bring. My goals are to keep growing this account and keep shooting new things. But maybe the most important goal I have is to keep producing cool s**t. Pretty simple. See you next year!

Reflections. It was entertaining for me to go through all of my photos from the year and try to pick out my favorites. It showed me that although I may not always feel like I’m killing it, the product can speak differently. I don’t always get the shot and that can be disappointing. However, I know my photography has improved over the year and so has the way I approach it. I’m excited about where I’m at and the pictures I’ve put out but I’m also very excited to learn more and capture even better photos!

The end of the year is a time to look back and reflect. I decided to do that with my pictures. I had a lot to go through but in the end, I picked out my favorite 25 pictures which I’m calling my Top 25 of 2025.

But that isn’t entirely true. I had such a hard time picking just 25 that I couldn’t do it. I had more than 25 that I thought were great. Instead of jumping right into the Top 25 of 2025, I’m starting with the Honorable Mentions. These pictures were so close but just didn’t crack the Top 25.
