🐾📸 We’re Strutting for a Cause! 📸🐾

We’re excited to be part of the 2026 QCAWC Mutt Strut on Sunday, September 6th at Camden Park in Milan during the Milan Harvest Festival!

This is one of those events we absolutely love being part of—not only because we get to meet so many amazing dogs, but because it supports an organization working every day to give homeless animals the care, love, and second chances they deserve. ❤️

We’ll be there with MJ Pawtography, capturing fun portraits of the pups joining in on the festivities—and a portion of our proceeds will go directly toward supporting the Quad City Animal Welfare Center. 🐶🐱

Come out for the dog walk, contests, vendors, games, refreshments, and plenty of tail-wagging fun!

Whether you're strutting with your own pup, walking in memory of one you miss, or simply showing up to support animals in need, your participation makes a difference.

🐾❤️ Because Good Dogs Deserve Good Things ❤️🐾

Thanks to everyone who signed up for our Dogue Crafted Creation fundraising event, we were able to raise $200 for Rescued! 🎉

We loved getting to photograph all of the pups who came out and being able to combine something we love—creating beautiful portraits—with giving back to an organization doing important work for animals in our community.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who participated, shared the event, and helped make it a success. We couldn't have done it without you! 🐶📸

And now we have an important question…

Should Dogue come back?! 👀🐾

If there’s one thing I’ve learned as a pet photographer, it’s that every dog has a story worth celebrating.

The goofy ones.
The couch potatoes.
The adventure seekers.
The ones who never stop moving.
The ones who think they’re lap dogs.
The ones who are a little quirky… or a lot. 😂

And that’s exactly why I love what I do.

Pet photography isn’t just about getting a beautiful picture of your dog. It’s about capturing who they are—their expressions, their personality, the little quirks you know and love, and the relationship you share with them.

Because when I look through my camera, I’m not just seeing a dog sitting pretty for a portrait.

I’m seeing your best friend. Your adventure buddy. Your shadow. Your family. ❤️

So today, on National Dog Day, give your pup an extra treat, take them on their favorite adventure, and maybe take a few extra pictures while you’re at it. 😉

✨ Meet the Lyon’s Trio! ✨

Jemma, Riker, and Grace brought three completely different personalities to their session at Vander Veer Park—and I loved every minute of it! 🐾

Jemma (left) was our calm and collected girl, taking everything in stride.
Riker (middle) was ready for anything… although, if he had his way, he would have spent the entire session jumping in the fountains! 😂
And Grace (right) made a new best friend in my assistant/husband, Kyle, who quickly learned that the way to her heart was through plenty of tasty treats. ❤️

Three dogs, three personalities, and somehow we brought them all together for this beautiful portrait!

One of the biggest things I hear from multi-dog families is, “I’d love a photo of all of them together, but they’ll never cooperate!”

Good news: they don't have to. 😉

I have plenty of tricks for getting dogs looking in the right direction, holding a pose, and working together—and when real life inevitably happens, my retouching skills can help bring the final image together seamlessly.

So if you've been putting off photos because you have multiple dogs who definitely aren't going to sit still for a picture… don't let that stop you. We've got you covered. 🐶🐶🐶📸

We’re excited to be part of Dog Days 2026: Corgi Fest—a FREE, all-ages, all-dog festival celebrating everything we love about our four-legged friends!

Ashley and Lucy were the lucky winners of our Artisan Session giveaway at the QC Pet Expo, and last month we met up at Vander Veer Park to capture some beautiful moments between them. 🐾💕

One of my favorite things about pet photography is that it isn't always about getting the perfect pose. Sometimes, it's about capturing the little moments that happen naturally—the way they look at you, the way you reach for them, or simply the joy of being together.

I love this image of Ashley and Lucy because it feels like just them. No posing, no distractions… just a sweet little moment between two who clearly adore each other. ❤️

Your relationship with your dog is unique, and those little moments are worth remembering.
