💐🎥 Ingrid Bergman was one of the most brilliant and respected actresses in film history.

Born in Stockholm, she lost her parents at an early age and dreamed of acting from childhood. She made her film debut in 1934; following her role in *Intermezzo* (1936), she caught the attention of Hollywood and moved to the United States.

A star of the 1940s, she appeared in *Casablanca* (1942) and won an Oscar for *Gaslight* (1944). She also starred in films directed by Alfred Hitchcock, such as *Spellbound* and *Notorious*.

Her career was marked by a major scandal involving her romance and marriage to director Roberto Rossellini—an affair that led to her being shunned in the U.S. for a long time. She later returned to the screen, winning two more Oscars for *Anastasia* (1956) and *Murder on the Orient Express* (1974). One of her final works was *Autumn Sonata* (1978).

She was married three times and had four children (including actress Isabella Rossellini). She passed away on August 29, 1982—her 67th birthday.

💐🎥 Lauren Bacall was an actress whose gaze and voice seemed to change the rules of the game in cinema.

Born Betty Joan Perske in New York in 1924, she dreamed of becoming a dancer but ultimately turned to acting and worked as a model.

In 1944, producer Howard Hawks discovered her; this led to her role in the film *To Have and Have Not* and her meeting with Humphrey Bogart. Their on-screen chemistry turned into a real-life romance: they married and starred together in several more films (including *The Big Sleep* and *Key Largo*).

After Bogart’s death in 1957, Lauren returned to Broadway—winning two Tony Awards—and made a strong comeback in film with roles in movies such as *How to Marry a Millionaire* (alongside Marilyn Monroe) and *The Mirror Has Two Faces* (for which she won a Golden Globe and received an Oscar nomination). In 2009, she was awarded an Honorary Oscar.

She was married to Bogart and later to actor Jason Robards, wrote bestselling memoirs, and collected art. She passed away in 2014, just a month shy of her 90th birthday.
