The first terrorist attack in the history of the miniature Principality of Monaco occurred on May 30, 2004 at the Louis II stadium.

The attackers bypassed CCTV cameras at night and planted a homemade bomb with a capacity of approximately two kg of TNT right in the football arena.

The blast wave completely destroyed part of the stand, and also damaged the underground parking lot and neighboring buildings.
Despite this, there were no casualties.

The investigation did not end in anything, although everyone in Monaco is sure that this was the revenge of football fans: shortly before this, the local club Monaco lost the Champions League final to Porto.

But the investigation did not even consider this version, judging by the words of the Prosecutor General of Monaco, Daniel Cerdet, at a press conference:
- The glorious history of our football club dates back almost 80 years of almost continuous defeats, how was that better?
The photo shows a reconstruction of the approximate consequences of the explosion; the real photos are still classified.
