I still have the incredible blessing of having my mother by my side, and last April I had the chance to travel to Guatemala to celebrate her life, her love, and her birthday with her. As time passes, I realize more and more how precious these moments truly are. Being able to hug her, laugh with her, and celebrate another year of her life is a gift I will never take for granted. My heart is overflowing with gratitude because I know not everyone gets to experience moments like these with their mother.
I also want to express my deepest gratitude to my dear friend and incredibly talented photographer and his beautiful and talented wife .labbe for not only capturing these memories so perfectly, but also for being part of such a meaningful and emotional moment in my life. Having them there with me, celebrating alongside my family, made this occasion even more special.
For so many years, I dreamed of the day I could host a celebration for my mother and have Carlos there to photograph it, and seeing that dream finally come true was deeply emotional for me. Carlos has a rare gift — he doesn’t just take pictures, he captures love, emotion, and the candid moments that become priceless memories.
I feel beyond blessed to have him and his family in my life. They are no longer just friends, they are family to me. These photos will forever hold a special place in my heart because they captured one of the greatest blessings and most precious gifts God has given me: my mother. ❤️
