Lone Star Trail Photography by Pennie Stanley

Lone Star Trail Photography by Pennie Stanley Born from quiet hikes down Texas trails, Lone Star Trail Photography is my way of sharing the journey through a camera lens.

Through Scripture-centered devotionals, each trail, sky, and landscape becomes a place of encouragement.

June came and went quickly.
Before June ends, I don’t want to rush what it had to offer.

The quiet moments of a winding road.
The unexpected beauty of wildflowers along the road.
The moments God used to slow me down.

My prayer is that my eyes are open to the beauty of God everyday

Weariness has a way of quietly settling in the soul.

Some days, weariness runs deeper than physical exhaustion.

Life asks us to give more, do more, and keep going. And before long, we find ourselves longing for rest and refreshment.

The beautiful truth is that we don’t have to manufacture strength on our own.

God’s presence is not scarce.
His peace is not limited.
His refreshment never runs dry.

“For I will satisfy the weary soul, and every languishing soul I will replenish.” — Jeremiah 31:25

I've spent a lot of time asking God for direction.

Lately, I've been asking to show me what He’s already doing.

Curiosity helps me notice the journey. Faith trusts Him with the destination.

Sometimes the most comforting truth isn’t that we see God clearly.

It’s that He sees us.

“You are the God who sees me.” — Genesis 16:13

Some seasons feel heavy with uncertainty.

Even in uncertain seasons, guidance remains.
Faith is simply remembering to look to the light.

“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” John 1:5

Sometimes I just follow the road to see what's waiting along it.
