Zoo day through my lens 📸🦒🐪🦓

I took my camera along to Hovatter’s Wildlife Zoo and figured it would be a fun chance to get some practice in—and I ended up loving so many of these!

Photographing animals is definitely a different kind of challenge. 😂 They don’t pose, they don’t wait for you to get your settings right, and sometimes there’s a fence exactly where you don’t want one. But that made catching the good moments even more fun.

Of course, I had to sneak in a few pictures of the family enjoying the day too. ❤️

I’m still learning, experimenting and taking my camera with me whenever I get the chance. Every outing gives me something new to practice, and I love looking back and seeing the progress.

📸🐾 The four-legged models have entered the chat.

No posing. No cooperating. Definitely no staying where I put them. 😂

Just me following them around with my camera waiting for that split second where everything comes together.

And somehow… those completely unplanned shots end up being some of my favorites. ❤️

I’m having way too much fun figuring out what I love photographing — and apparently, dogs have officially made the list.

📸 No special occasion. No matching outfits. No perfectly planned session.

Just grabbed my camera and let the kids be kids. ❤️

Some smiled, some gave me attitude 😂, somebody apparently decided a necklace belonged in her mouth, and getting everyone to cooperate at the same time was… questionable at best.

But THAT’S what makes these fun.

The silly faces. The swings. The little hands holding each other. The moments in between the pictures you think you’re trying to get.

I’m learning more and more that some of my favorite photos happen when I stop worrying about getting the “perfect” shot and just capture what’s actually happening.

Because one day, these everyday moments won’t feel so everyday anymore. ❤️📸

🎶🎨 A little Friday night fun! 📸

This past Friday started with some seriously fun face painting by Miss Pockets! The kids loved getting to pick their designs, and watching them come to life was just as fun to photograph. 🎨✨ She did such an awesome job!

Then we headed over to see Ashley Cooke perform! and she did NOT disappoint! 🎤🎶 Such a good show and such a fun way to end the night!

Of course I had my camera with me and couldn’t resist capturing the concert, the kids, and all the little moments throughout the evening.

Nights like this are exactly why I love taking pictures — not everything has to be posed or planned. Sometimes it’s just about capturing the moment as it happens. ❤️

📸 A new view from behind the camera! 🏡

This shoot traded people and poses for porches, property, and plenty of angles. 😂

I had the chance to photograph a home for a real estate listing, and it was such a fun change of pace! There’s definitely an art to figuring out how to capture a home in a way that feels inviting while still keeping it natural and true to what you’d actually see.

One camera, one house, about a million steps later… 😂📸

📱📸 Before Case the Moment was… well, Case the Moment.

There was just me with a phone full of pictures. 😂

Vacations, sunsets, kids playing, family moments, pretty scenery — if something caught my eye, I took a picture.

I wasn’t thinking about building a photography page or creating a business. I just liked capturing things the way I saw them.

Now I’m picking up an actual camera, learning more, trying new things and seeing where this little adventure takes me.

But I think my favorite part is realizing that the reason I started hasn’t changed.

I just really love catching the moment. ❤️

And apparently my camera roll has the receipts. 😂📱

📸 Turns out a trampoline park is one way to test a camera. 😂

Dark lighting, people flying through the air, kids who definitely weren’t going to stay still long enough for a picture… basically every photographer’s dream conditions. 😂

I brought my camera along for the fun and even handed it over to my daughter for a few shots — which means there’s actually photographic evidence that I was there too. 🙌😂

Definitely not a planned photo session. Just playing around with the camera, trying different shots and capturing the chaos as it happened.

And sometimes those are the most fun pictures to look back on. 📸
