One of the things I love most about photography is telling a family's story.

Tracy and I had the privilege of photographing Trinna and Sean at the beautiful Jefferson Memorial in Washington, DC. What made this session especially meaningful was that it was more than an engagement session. It was also an opportunity to capture the people they love most.

As the morning clouds drifted over the Tidal Basin and the Washington Monument stood in the background, we created a collection of images that celebrated not only their relationship, but also the family they have built together.

The Jefferson Memorial remains one of my favorite locations in Washington because it offers a perfect blend of timeless architecture, beautiful views, and iconic DC scenery. Every corner seems to provide another opportunity for a memorable photograph.

Thank you, Trinna and Sean, for allowing us to capture these special memories for your family. We cannot wait for the next chapter of your story.

There is a quiet moment on almost every wedding day. The dress is on. The guests are arriving. The planning is finished. And for just a few minutes, everything slows down.

I love these moments because they tell a story that can't be staged. No posing. No directions. Just genuine emotion and anticipation before one of the most important days of a person's life.

This portrait of Kerry was captured as she stood by the window, reflecting on the day ahead. Moments like these often become some of the most meaningful photographs in a wedding album.

What many couples don't realize is that some of the most beautiful wedding photographs happen before the ceremony ever begins.

One of the questions I hear most often from couples is, "What happens if it rains on our wedding day?"

Susan and Eric found themselves facing that exact question. Their wedding day included rain, umbrellas, and plenty of uncertainty about what the weather might do next. But something beautiful happened...

None of it mattered.

The joy on their faces, the love they share, and the excitement of finally becoming husband and wife completely overshadowed the weather.

Some of my favorite wedding photographs have happened on rainy days. Rain slows things down, brings people together, and often creates moments that simply wouldn't exist on a perfect sunny afternoon. Sometimes the rain itself becomes part of the love story.

Looking through these images, I don't see rain. I see a bride who couldn't stop smiling. I see a groom who was completely in love with his wife. I see family and friends holding umbrellas, determined to witness every moment. Most of all, I see a wedding day filled with genuine emotion.

The weather wasn't perfect. But the wedding day was!

There is something incredibly special about photographing a family as they grow together through the years. ❤️

Tracy and I recently had the joy of celebrating two birthdays during this beautiful family session, and moments like these are such a reminder of how quickly life moves. One minute you are rocking them to sleep as babies, and before you know it, they are laughing together, showing their personalities, and creating memories that will one day feel priceless.

What we love most about family photography is preserving these little in-between moments. We love the laughter, the cuddles, the expressions, the sibling interactions, and the love that makes every family unique.

It is truly an honor for us to document these memories for families and create photographs that will grow more meaningful with every passing year. ✨

Today, we remember and honor the brave men and women who gave everything in service to our country. 🇺🇸

Their courage, sacrifice, and selflessness secured the freedoms we often take for granted each day. Memorial Day is more than a long weekend. It is a time to reflect on the true cost of freedom and to remember those who never made it home.

This image I captured of the Iwo Jima Memorial at sunrise is one of my favorites and it is a powerful reminder to me of the strength, unity, and sacrifice of our military heroes.

May we never forget those who gave their lives for our freedom. ❤️🤍💙
