When I had a studio in Philly I freelanced for a social media platform. I often covered events at Citizens Bank Ballpark, home of the Phillies. I'd often cross paths with this young lady. And yes, I kind of had a crush! (1/60s - F8 - ISO 400)

Sometimes starting to move on from past troubles is to simply "Start" moving towards what's in front of you. Gas up the car, tighten the laces and get moving! Your future awaits. Get your boarding pass!

T.S. Eliot wrote in Four Quartets, "What we call the beginning is often the end. And to make an end is to make a beginning. The end is where we start from."

Many years ago as a youth I bowled a lot. I was very good at it. While I never did bowl a perfect game, I did once average in the high 180's over a 36 week period in a league. My highest score was 280, which is 10 strikes in a row but a spare in the tenth frame. I helped a few friends refine their game with some instruction and advice. Well one friend "Ray Santos" said he had a gift for me to show his appreciation for my help with his games. On consecutive weeks he bowled a 299, then a 300! He was awarded rings as trophies for his games. He gave them to me as thanks for helping him with his game so many years before.

Sometimes letting go and leaving the the past behind you is simply about changing the way you’ve thought about things. Looking at the past with a new perspective.

I know that because of the things I've experienced have made me better and helped me to grow as a person. So embrace it, and look to the future with expectancy.

Is this okay with you?

More than 60 people have died in ICE shootings or while in detention since Donald Trump’s second administration began. This includes at least 9 operation-linked deaths and 52 deaths occurring directly inside ICE custody.

The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) holds approximately 60,000 to 70,000 people in immigration detention on any given day, according to recent immigration tracking data.

If it is, I'll pray for you and I will probably decline your invite for sharing a lunch together.

(Matthew 5:9). Jesus proclaims, "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God".

I don't know if Melissa Manchester intended to express a spiritual sentiment when she wrote this. But for me, it has that feeling.

"As long as you stay by me

Look inward. Inside of you is a power that was given by the One that created it all. You have everthing you need. Follow the Spirits calling for your life. Like the lyric says "At least I know I'm not alone"
