Most of the photos in my shop were taken while living my life... I carry my camera with me constantly, always on the look out for a wonderful photo. Others were taken in or around Madison, Wisconsin... in Dane County. Every year I love to watch fireworks! ... And to try to capture the light and movement of that light. This year I only made it to one set of fireworks, but they were worth it!

The fireworks intense! Continuous volleys of fireworks had the crowd in a constant hum of appreciation throughout the entire show. rks w

They are small local fireworks, not one of the big productions. These fireworks have a great nostalic vibe. Held in a small park in the country, supported by local people and businesses.

I was so caught up in the show that I never had a chance to change lenses as I had planned... well maybe next year.

I brought in some wild plum blossoms in and put them in a vase to enjoy, but when the flowers exploded, I just needed to photograph them. I tried a few different backgrounds. I'm drawn to the first one, but there is also something interesting about the second image, too. ... As graphic designer, I always like type worked into artwork that explains why I'm drawn to the first one.

Sometimes I'm just intrigued by something I come across in nature... I found these maple seeds in a parking lot and just loved the vibrant colors. I took them home and into the studio. I made several photos of them in different settings. Which is your favorite?
