A Moonlight "Moolage"

Digital Collage featuring Moo, my lovely cat.

Perception is everything, and I believe that this is an accurate representation of Moo's perspective of the world. Or how Moo would like the world to see him.

This piece was born from a spark I rediscovered at Skagit Valley College. It was my first art class since high school and had a textbook that was drier than dust. But, the prompts were solid. They pushed me to play with the power of perspective again.

By combining these two original images, the landscape and this moment with Moo, the collage tells a richer story, and one that whimsically resonates with big-personality cats.

Limited prints available :)

How many varieties of fungi are there?

Turns out, we don't even know. Thousands have been identified, but there's estimated to be millions of different fungi on Earth. They really live up to the "fun" part of their name!

I've always been drawn to the striking variety of fungi that grow throughout the world. The Pacific Northwest, in its damp glory, is home to countless thriving varieties. They're one of my favorite subjects to photography; their colors, texture, and shape often feel so full of personality.

If one of these prints speak to you, prints are available. Feel free to message to learn more.

Growth is rarely linear, and the journey is always different- - it's so exciting!

Those “A-ha!” moments are magical, and practice invites them to appear often. Lately, I’ve found revisiting old favorites a powerful source of inspiration and a way to continue refining my skills as an artist.

One thing I love about art is that exploring different mediums strengthens *everything*. Precise linework builds patience and a steadier hand- - skills that translate directly to capturing a clean low-light image, or hand-held filming. Meanwhile. studying how colors interact has also improved my instincts around exposure and balance.

There are so many “A-ha!” moments waiting for us when we explore, even in things we’ve done before.

This mandala was inspired by that idea. Learning is cumulative and beautiful, but growth itself isn’t linear. The cool-toned center gradually warms as the shapes become more organic, reflecting how clarity often emerges over time. Every layer of the journey has value, but it begins within — at the center, with us.

Whether it’s fine art, a simple logo, or a video project, my work is thoughtfully crafted to meet your vision. If you’re interested in collaborating or learning more, feel free to send a message.

Jasper is a very good boy.

I have more photos of my golden retriever, Jasper, and my cat, Moo, than just about anything else on my phone and hard drives- - something I’m sure many pet lovers can relate to.

It can be surprisingly hard to capture the moments where our fur babies look like themselves, rather than an audition for a pet food commercial. The relaxed curve of Jasper’s lip, and that thoughtful gaze are the quiet details that make him *him*.

That's part of the magic that makes him my special boy.

Through study, (lots of) practice, and a few well-timed dog biscuits, I’m able to offer pet portrait sessions that focus on those genuine moments. If you’re interested in a photoshoot for your furry best friend, feel free to send me a message.

One of my favorite things about the Pacific Northwest is how soft the sky can be, it's truly an ever-changing painting all on its own.

These two images were captured just weeks apart, both in Skagit Valley, yet each tells a very different story. One lingers in the warmth of sunset, while the other settles into the quiet blues of evening.

Tulips may get the spotlight, but they’re not the real magic hidden in Skagit Valley. The magic lives in the everyday moments: wandering snow geese, clouds brushing the mountains in the distance, and the steady calm that nature offers when you pause long enough to notice.

Whether your eyes drift upward to the clouds or down to the humble fungi at your feet, this region is endlessly beautiful. Skagit Valley invites you to slow down and soak it all in—no matter the season.

If one of these landscapes speaks to you, I’d love to talk with you about prints and how they might live in your space.

Fridays are perfect for wandering through fields and finding that quiet “ah” moment.
These images were captured in a lavender field in Sequim, Washington during last year’s Lavender Festival.

A little insider tip: Fridays are the sweet spot. It’s less crowded than the weekend, but the energy is still high with everyone buzzing in anticipation. Add in warm sunshine, endless purple blooms, and the soft hum of happy bees—and it’s pure magic.

I'm one of those weird people who get SO EXCITED about the soon-to-land atmospheric river. It’s one of the things I adore about the Pacific Northwest: witnessing nature in all its moods. Even in the wildest weather, the landscape has a majestic beauty—speckled skies and shifting clouds that only highlight the region's timeless grace.

I took this black-and-white shot right as the clouds started to roll in. Looking at it now, it gives me peak cozy vibes and a little spark of excitement for the winter wonderland to come. (Until then, rain will have to do!)

Stay safe, warm, and dry out there. I hope the storm brings a bit of cozy magic to your screen.
