Has anybody else recently gotten into birdwatching? I feel like I have reached pique granny hobbies at this point 😅

This here is an eastern phoebe. She has made a nest right above my front door. When I go outside and sit on the front steps to watch and photograph the birds on my feeder, she leaves her nest to perch on this branch where she proceeds to glare at me until I go back inside. How dare I keep her from her nest 😂

What’s your favorite bird?
So far this past week, I’ve seen a pair of summer tanagers frolicking around together, an indigo bunting, an eastern bluebird, a rose-breasted grosbeak, some white-breasted nuthatches, and a Carolina chickadee

The raw interactions, genuine love and connections that aren't perfectly placed with forced smiles, (even moments of meltdowns...) these are my favorite, these are what my heart clings to.

Taking these photos specifically had me more choked up than any other part of the day. This sweet boy crossed the rainbow bridge just a few days after this ❤️‍🩹

Our fur babies have SUCH a special place in our hearts and saying goodbye always comes way too soon 😩😭

I am so honored and touched to be able to have captured these sweet moments and so thankful he was able to be with his people on such a special day in their life together ♥️
