This was five years ago. It seems more relevant now. Some considered 4 July a four-day weekend holiday. Enjoy your day. Remember the fallen. 
Today I took a tour of The American Village in Montevallo, Al. I went to enjoy the tulips but ending up paying tribute to some of the fallen Soldiers on 9/11. I was about to leave when I saw a young man and women leaving the Embattled Farmer Statue walking on the Freedom Trail. They were the only two on the trail. Not visible from the trail, nested in the woods, are Military Monuments. I wonder how many people visit the American Village but never took the path to the Freedom Trail. I’m so glad I didn’t leave. Before seeing the monuments. I like to thank that young man and women for such a wonderful gift.
