It’s a beautiful morning around home, but going to be a busy day!

Ashley is on a plane and headed to Washington right now for a few days, so I am left to attend to the boat yard and try to slim down the fleet 😂⛵️🤷🏼‍♂️

Sometimes it be like that! 🤣🤦‍♀️🤷🏼‍♂️

Our life’s savings worth of coins dumped out just as we were getting ready to take it in to the coinstar machine 😣🪙

I’m not going to point the blame and say exactly who dropped them, but I think we can guess! 😆🙄

We had $157 in change!!!! (but the machine took about $20 for its sorting services)

Good morning friends!
I guess I’m getting to that age to where I care about my lawn now 😂🤷🏼‍♂️
(42 in a few weeks)

I’ve started the huge process of fixing my lawn recently with scalping, de-thatching, scarifying, and running a plug aerator all around to try to loosen the ground up from all the driving and parking vehicles and boats on it, since it’s extremely compacted. 😬
You can see the green/brown line at the bottom of the photo where I stopped scarifying last night.

I’ll be over seeding and trying to level some spots out with screened top soil and a compost roller as well.

It’s kind of weird what getting older does to you! 😂🏡🪏

This Cape May Warbler paid us a visit while 13 miles offshore on Lake Michigan, in the dense fog!

The beautiful bird ate LOTS of bugs all over the boat and seemed completely unbothered by us!

Have you ever gotten visitors on your vessel?

We had salmon, potato salad and grilled corn on our last overnight, while the sun went down.
The conditions were PERFECT. Summer is here! 😎☀️⛵️
(We could also use a bigger cockpit table)

Little Bird is looking good in the beautiful west Michigan sunset on Lake Michigan, at Muskegon! 🤩⛵️

Our Seaward 25 is such a GREAT “trailer sailer” and lets us be very flexible in where we go and when, without leaving it in a marina all season or paying costs associated with that and winter storage.

It’s by far, my favorite sailboat I’ve ever had! ❤️⛵️
What’s yours?!

Captain Leo is only slightly concerned that I sold his playhouse today. 🤷🏼‍♂️😾🛥️

While I did buy it several years back with good intentions, and had a lot of fun fixing it up, the 32’ Marinette was just too big to utilize easily and trailer here and there without keeping it in a marina.

Next up is the 23’ Seaward sailboat!

Good morning from the lake! ⛵️

We had a super pleasant evening anchored in the channel arms and Muskegon, MI, with only a short and abrupt change of wind around 1 am that spun us 180 degrees and slapped the halyards for a few minutes.

I got up to check our anchor and tighten things and then back to bed until the sun came up! 😀☀️
