There comes a moment when life gets really quiet.

It’s the waiting.

Waiting to meet the little person who’s already changed everything.

Before the late nights, before the tiny boots by the front door, before “Mom” and “Dad” become the words they hear a hundred times a day.

These are the moments I love preserving, because they disappear faster than anyone expects.

This family is more than “clients” to me at this point. They’ve become friends and family over the years, which makes getting to capture all these milestones even more special.

And this week we finally do maternity pictures and I already know they’re going to be absolutely beautiful.

This Memorial Day, Wicked Slick Photography will be offering a limited number of complimentary sessions for Gold Star families. These sessions can be scheduled for anytime.

As a veteran, Memorial Day has always meant more than just a long weekend to me. It’s for the families who continue living with the absence of someone they loved deeply. The spouses, parents, children, siblings, and loved ones carrying a sacrifice most people will never fully understand.

These sessions are meant to honor that love, memory, and legacy.

Families will also have the option to receive a complimentary memorial composite portrait featuring their loved one, created carefully and respectfully in a timeless style.

No dramatic edits. No overdone effects. Just meaningful images that preserve connection and remembrance.
