While I may have been the photographer, this evening was made possible in part by Adaptive Surf Project.

The City of North Myrtle Beach offers beach wheelchairs (INCREDIBLE), but the available chairs are adult-sized and just weren’t the right fit. Adaptive Surf Project was able to provide a child-sized chair so this amazing little girl could easily enjoy the beach with her family while visiting.

And that meant one less thing for Mom to worry about and brought her focus right back to the moments that mattered.

Taking in the way her son could crack his little sister up with the wildest noises.

Watching the pure joy on her face as her husband lifted her daughter into the air.

Snuggling her son and touching noses.

Helping her daughter balance in the sand, with her brother right there to lean on when she needed him.

Standing in the sunset with the three people who matter most in life.

Laughing as her son skipped rocks and splashed the photographer (my fault 🤣).

And finally, stealing a quick moment for just her and her husband.

the importance of your daughters senior photos is not lost on me. My mom heart knows you’re her at 5 dancing in front of the tv, as I fix her hair.

my boys are just as wild as yours.

Please don’t apologize.
I support moms.

it’s okay for you to take a picture alone.

Your children will remind you that you’re beautiful, no matter where you are in life.

I watch the weather radar for your session every hour. I know rescheduling is hard when you’re raising a family and working full time.

• Play with your skirt
• Brush your hair back
• Grab your opposite elbow
• Touch your partner’s face
• Fix your daughter’s hair
• Tickle your kids
• Put your hands in your pockets
• Throw your arms out and take it all in
• Put your thumb through your belt loop
• Gently play with your necklace
• Hold the bottom of your sweater
• Touch the collar of your shirt
• Hold onto your blazer
• Hold your partner’s hand
• Rest your hand on your partner’s arm
• Place your hand on your hip
• Run your fingers through your hair
• Hold onto your child’s hand
• Give someone a little squeeze
• Wrap your arms around your partner
• Rest your hands in your lap
• Reach for someone’s hand while walking

This year they invited me back for the big day.

We share the beach with everyone and I love when people stop and watch.

Just please don’t stand behind the bride to do so. 😐

At least the bride was so beautiful no one even saw him.

You finally sit down after the chaos of the first morning of school.

Your coffee is ice cold.
The drop off line was savage.

Your phone keeps buzzing so you open it and see the back to school photos you posted.

Then you notice…
He isn’t almost as tall as the bush
out front anymore.
He is taller than the bush.

She’s wearing a shirt that didn’t come from the toddler section.
And she didn’t want a bow in her hair this year.

When did they get so big?

You look over at the wall and theres two things that stand out.

Almost every picture is of them.
Some just them.
Some with Dad.

All from the baby years.

You’re missing in all of them.

Your walls still tell the story of tiny hands and messy faces.

But your babies are in elementary school now.

You haven’t framed anything in years.

It’s time your walls caught up with
your family.

The whole family.
