Memorial Day holds a deeper meaning beyond the long weekend, especially here in Naperville and throughout the Chicagoland community.

It’s a time to remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

This image - captured at a local Midwestern community festival - felt like a quiet reflection of that spirit. Lady Liberty, surrounded by American flags and the POW/MIA flag, stands as a symbol of both freedom and remembrance.

As a Naperville photographer, I’m continually inspired by moments that reflect both place and purpose, and this felt like one worth preserving.

Today, we pause in gratitude. 🙏🏻
