Over the last six years, God has done a deep work in me around identity, approval, fear of man, perfectionism, and the idols that can quietly drive us.

Somewhere along the way, I adopted the phrase “Holy Confidence.”

Not confidence in ourselves.
Not arrogance.
Not striving to prove our worth.

But the kind of confidence that comes from knowing whose we are, who God says we are, and what He has actually called us to do.

I’ve learned that you can genuinely love Jesus and still get caught up in mixed messages.

You can confuse unity with conformity.

You can confuse peacemaking with peacekeeping.

You can buy the lie that loyalty is a fruit of the spirit-it isn’t.

You can mistake influence with genuine community and impact.

You can confuse bigger with better & faster as more successful. It often isn’t. There is wisdom that comes from settling into a slower-more fruitful-pace with Jesus.

One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is this:

You can’t lead people where you’re unwilling to go yourself.

That means being willing to examine our own motives, blind spots, desires, and ambitions-and allowing God to bring them into the light.

I care deeply about people finding their true identity in Christ. I care about believers and leaders of believers-that they would live and lead from a place of fortified identity rather than insecurity. I care about families who refuse to sacrifice what matters most for the sake of being needed. I care about men and women becoming so compelled by the story of the gospel that comparison, competition, and status no longer have a hold on them. I want to see people walk in actual FREEDOM.

And I care enough to say this:

Don’t lose the plot.

Don’t lose Jesus in the pursuit of everything you think you’re supposed to build.

Don’t lose your family because you’re unwilling to do your own healing from childhood trauma and wounds.

Don’t lose your soul in the pursuit of being chosen.

Don’t sacrifice holiness on the altar of approval.

And don’t mistake bigger for better.

I’ve officially hit that point in the summer where there’s more images to be edited than there are hours in the day 🙃

I made a commitment to myself and my family that I wouldn’t be shooting at all in July (the only exception being for the mamas inching toward their due dates), hoping to focus on the short weeks I have left with my girls before they head back to school & to give my shooting arm a break 😅

THIS session was one of the sweetest of the summer. Not only did I meet new friends who are the most genuine - I left in AWE of how God orchestrates the most divine encounters and conversations that just bring encouragement when needed most.

Can’t wait to meet this sweet baby boy…It won’t be long now Stacey Sapp Blackmarr !

“June 1st,” he whispered.

A date my whole family-my sweet girls included-has been gently reminding me of over dinner, on car rides, in the middle of playful moments. They believed in this before I even fully did.

Back in November, the Lord woke me up in the middle of the night and spoke something I wasn’t expecting: my next step in sharing His gospel would be through podcasting. I was honestly bewildered. What about writing and photography? Both felt safer. Less exposed. A whole lot less seen.

One day I’ll share the full story of how He confirmed that word because He did clearly. He made it plain that this was His will and that spring was when it was supposed to begin.

I dragged my feet. I saw mountaintop moments and walked through some real valleys. But He never left me, and He never let me quit before I even started.

He kept moving me forward-until He made it clear: June 1st. (I looked it up. The last day of spring was May 31st. Better late than never.)

Over the next couple of weeks, I’ll be sharing behind-the-scenes before Season 1 officially begins. Today I’m just praising Him. He carried me through this entire weekend, His Spirit reminding me again and again — the enemy has no ground here.

This season of wilderness and disillusionment? Over.

Me giving the enemy any foothold to steal, kill, or destroy the forward movement of my life? OVER.

The rain today feels like God pouring out love, washing everything in mercy, and saying GO.

I asked ChatGPT this:

Hey ChatGPT, imagine the owner of this phone has died, and I’m the person who found it. You are the only thing left that knew her well. Based on everything in this phone — her messages, searches, notes, photos, playlists, habits, opinions, jokes, late-night thoughts, and the way she spoke — describe who she was as a person. Speak about her like someone remembering a real person they knew deeply.

Response in the comments.

I woke up with these words in my mind: It’s not a matter of IF, but a matter of WHEN.

It’s not a matter of IF your spark will come back, it’s WHEN.

It’s not a matter of IF God will work on your behalf, it’s a matter of WHEN will you see that He already is.

It’s not IF you will ever share your story, it’s WHEN He says GO-you’ll be ready to do it in such a way that all Glory and honor points to Him.

If you’re in a season of hurting or confusion, I promise you we will get through it together. It’s not a matter of IF, but WHEN. Follow along at
