As my first post of {2 0 2 6}, I want to take a moment to speak gratitude and appreciation for this gentleman, my good friend and mentor, George.
A year and a half ago, we met at my son’s first football scrimmage of the season. George spotted me with my brand new camera, ready to practice but fumbling around like the rookie I was, realizing my mistake… I forgot my SD card. 🤦🏻♀️. We began chatting about how I was wanting to get into sports photography and as fate would have it, he has been in the game for 30 plus years. A God introduction, if you’ve ever experienced one. The rest is history, and I owe so much of it all to the belief and faith he showed in me, for setting this past year of photography and growth into motion.
From getting me a job at The Wilson Post | Main Street Media just weeks after we met, giving me the opportunity and experience shooting athletes in every sport weekly… to moments like THIS, getting to shoot my first big college game day at the Music City Bowl.
I am humbled by your simple kindness and the wisdom you have shared with me along the way, and how both have impacted this journey for me so significantly. Thank you, George! I hope to follow your lead one day and share the same goodness towards someone as you have for me. It’s always an honor to share a sideline with you, and heres to many more going into 2026, anytime we get the chance! 📸
