They already had engagement photos in the mountains back home in Colorado.

Beautiful? Absolutely.
Them? Not quite. 🤍

So while they were in Pine Knoll Shores on a family vacation, they decided to do it again, but this time somewhere that felt a little more like them. Barefoot by the ocean, with the waves behind them and one ridiculously beautiful Carolina sky showing off for us.

And honestly, I love that.

Your engagement photos don’t have to happen somewhere just because it’s beautiful or because it’s what you’re “supposed” to do. They should feel like you.

Next May, these two are taking that love somewhere even warmer for their destination wedding in Punta Cana. 🌴

A little New England love with a whole lot of Southern soul 🤍

Courtney & Christian came all the way from New Hampshire to say I do beneath Carolina skies. Somehow the South looked pretty darn good on them 🫶🏻

Cowboy boots, a vintage convertible, open fields, a stormy summer sky, and the sweetest kind of love made this day feel like something straight out of a Southern love story.

These two were playful, completely themselves, and so genuinely happy to finally be husband and wife.

These two make love feel easy 🤍

Alex & Patrick recently got engaged in possibly the sweetest way; on a Ferris wheel, which just happened to be Patrick’s first time ever riding one. 🎡

And honestly, photographing these two felt just as natural. They’re playful, affectionate, completely comfortable with one another, and so very in love. The kind of couple you barely have to direct because the little looks, touches, and laughs are already there.

We had the sweetest evening documenting this chapter of their story, and now we get the absolute privilege of photographing the next one.

April can’t come soon enough 🤍✨️

Congratulations, Alex & Patrick. We can’t wait to watch you two become husband and wife. 🫶🏻

We put a lot of intentionality into our storytelling photography and when we ordered carrot cake cupcakes from Rori Bakes, we KNEW we would be getting excellent cupcakes. What we didn't expect is to see the same level of intentionality.

Dave is severely allergic to tree nuts (like ☠️), so naturally he has never had carrot cake. Rori Kathleen Nagel went out of her way to make sure everything was nut-free and safe for Dave to try carrot cake for the first time ever 🥹🙏🏻

AND we did NOT expect her to make Bellamy Productions cupcakes, but she added that special touch and we feel so seen 🥹🥹🥹

P.s. there was caramel-cream cheese filling in the middle which was another sweet surprise.

WE CANNOT RECOMMEND HER ENOUGH. GO GET SOME GOODIES ✨️✨️✨️

There’s something so special about getting to photograph a family once… and even more special when they come back. 🤍

We first met this sweet family last year while photographing their extended family during their annual trip to Emerald Isle. This year, they reached back out for a session of just the four of them and we got to document another little chapter of their story.

Emerald Isle is a place they return to year after year, and somewhere along the way, photographs have become part of that tradition too. 🌊

Because the girls will never be exactly this little again. Their smiles will change. Their personalities will grow. And someday, they’ll be able to look back and quite literally watch themselves grow up along these shores.

Same beach. Another year. A little more grown. 🤍

And what an honor it is to be invited back to preserve it.

They say rain on your wedding day is a blessing; a symbol of a love tied tightly, of abundance, fertility, and new beginnings. 🌧️🤍

For these two, maybe the rain knew something they didn't yet. 🥹

After knowing one another for most of their lives, they finally said "I do" on a rainy October day. And now, their love story is entering its sweetest chapter yet...

A little girl is on her way. 🎀

From growing up alongside one another, to becoming husband and wife, and now preparing to become Mom & Dad. What a beautiful reminder that sometimes the greatest love stories have been unfolding all along.

Maybe there really was a little extra magic in that October rain. 🌧️✨

There’s something so tender about waiting for your first baby; the excitement, the anticipation, and the quiet realization that life is about to become something entirely new. 🤍

For these two, that new chapter is unfolding far from home. Military life has taken them miles away from the people and places they’ve always known, but they have each other and soon, they’ll have a little piece of home they created together.

From two to three. A brand new adventure, a brand new kind of love, and the sweetest reason to call wherever they are home 🤍

The people behind the scenes. ✨

A wedding day may center around two people in love, but there is an entire village working quietly behind the scenes to bring that day to life.

The coordinators keeping everything moving.
The bartenders pouring the celebratory drinks.
The food vendors feeding a crowd.
The venues opening their doors and creating a space where memories can unfold.

Over our last couple of weddings, we made a point to turn the camera toward some of the people and places that are normally standing just outside the frame.
